Our Instructors
All of our lesson instructors are certified, insured and have diversified expertise.

Onsite Lesson Instructors:

Danielle Des Fountain has broad experience that includes a move to Texas to work for LaCroix Ltd. and trainers Ray LaCroix, Tom Moore, and Rob Bick followed by nine years working for Mitch Sperte of Northstar Show Horses.  At the end of 1999, Danielle opened her own business offering a lesson program for all riding levels as well as show and pleasure riding horses.  She and her riders, many from the lesson program, earned regional and national titles in English, Country, Hunter, and Western Pleasure as well as Park, Show Hack and Side Saddle.  Many National champions were produced such as LBA Class Action, Afire's Quintina, FS Easter Parade, and Soulful Strut, to name just a few. The joining of Danielle and Quinton into a team pulled together their past successes with horses and riders in and out of the show ring.

Heather Roderick has been an equestrian all her life. This love of horses has driven her to be certified as a NCCP Coach and Equine Canada riding instructor after receiving her BA with distinction in English and Psychology. An expert in the humane treatment of horses, and rider safety she has been recognized by corporations and individuals for her talents- such as Safeway Community Hero Award in 2005 for her contributions to the community of Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association and her appearance as a featured discussant on Oprah Winfrey’s New Earth webcast.  Currently a member in good standing of the United States Dressage Federation, United States Equestrian Federation, Horse Council of British Columbia, Whidbey Dressage Society and the USET Foundation which is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping American athletes achieve the highest possible standards in international equestrian competition.

Operating under the name HIRE Coaching Heather has made Wildwood Farm the home base of her operations since 2008. Nationally in demand as a sports advertising executive, and event media specialist most recently accomplishing her work at the 2010 Winter Olympic games, she still makes her riding clients a priority because teaching equestrians is her passion. Formerly successful as a junior combined training competitor, Heather is able to guide beginner through competitive level riders to progress in their goals and dreams in dressage and jumping.

"Horses have much to teach about acceptance. Once trust is established, they are capable of manifesting a total acceptance of humankind in unquestioning surrender. They seem to trust the basic rhythm of life in a way that humans do not."
