Secluded and private, Wildwood Farm is located on Whidbey Island near the beautiful San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest.
Wildwood Farm consists of 80 acres and boasts some of the most outstanding equestrian amenities found anywhere in Washington State Including:
Horse Lay-up and Rehabilitation — The
facility supports all types of equine rest and rehab, including complete
stall rest all the way to large pasture turn-out. Our facility boasts the
safest V-Mesh fencing and our paddocks and pastures are groomed and maintained
regularly to assure your horse is in the healthiest environment. Larger
stalls are available for those horses needing stall rest and we have trained
horsemen
on staff to take care of any hand-walking or other special requirements
needed.
Geriatric Care — We offer a full program of geriatric care that
provides for the aging equine the best in nutrition, exercise and pampering!
From large heated stalls to lush private pastures; weekly massage and customized
feeding programs to hot steam rooms with aromatherapy treatments; companion
animals to daily rubdowns and brushing; we have a package that will fit your
geriatric horse's (and your) requirements!
Custom Feeding Program — We
are proud to offer LMF feeds as part of our standard feeding
program. With this program we take a core sample of a large lot
of hay (60
tons minimum) and test it in the LMF lab to determine what nutrients
it is offering, and what we need LMF to supplement. The end product
is a custom diet finely tuned to assure your horse is getting
100% nutrients and will not need additional vitamins and supplements
to maintain his health.
Customized Care and Feeding Packages — Using
our standard feeding program as a base, we offer clients customized
care and feeding packages depending upon their requirements:
- Standard Feeding Program — Orchard Grass/Alfalfa Mix fed 3X day up to 25 lbs. LMF Feeds (performance or growth) fed 2X daily up to 7 lbs/day.
- Up-Graded Feeding Program — Orchard Grass/Alfalfa Mix OR Alfalfa OR Timmothy fed 4X day up to 30 Lbs. LMF Feeds fed 2X daily up to 7 Lbs
- Premier Feeding Program — Orchard Grass/Alfalfa mix OR Alfalfa OR Timmothy fed 4X day up to 30 lbs; LMF Feeds fed 2X daily up to 7 LBs; 2X weekly wheat/rice bran mash; 3 lbs carrots 5X weekly
- Customized Care — Offerings include: Daily grooming; Exercise maintenance (lunging and light riding); weekly massage; Regular Chiropractic work; Equine dentistry.
SADDLE FITTING
Wildwood Farm is honored to house the only Stubben
showroom open to the public in North America. It is our belief that Stubben
makes the best saddles in the world, and along with our showroom we also
have a huge inventory of fitting saddles that are used in conjunction with
our custom saddle fitting sessions to assure the best fit for horse and
rider! With over 7 tree widths, 6 seat sizes, custom flocking and over
400,000 variations of saddles available, we are sure to find a perfect
solution for even the hardest-to-fit horse and rider!
