Quinton DesFountain has been with horses all his life starting in South Africa as a boy showing saddlebreds.   After 2 years in the Navy as a diver he moved to USA and began to work with Arabian Trainer Larry Lewis, Jr.  and then for 2 years with Gene La Croix, also an Arabian trainer.  While at the latter, Quinton started the multi-national champion Bey Berry Love.

By 1995, Quinton opened his own training business, specializing in starting and retraining problem horses.  He has trained most breeds, from Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, Tennessee walkers, to Paso Fino's, Friesians, even mules!

In 2000, he moved to Washington and worked at Fairchild Arabians as a trainer until 2003.  He is credited with starting Multi National Champion JKF MacGregor while at Fairchild Arabians.
Additionally, he trained the 2009 US National Top 10 AOTR HA English pleasure horse VSH First Lady and National Top 10 HA Country Horse Open and AAOTR JKF Noble Intentions.

Quinton uses a blend of natural and classical horsemanship.  He has studied the works of Oliveira, Baucher, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt and Buck Brannaman.
